About The WARM Up

This event is all about coming together as a community, sharing delicious kai, and getting energised for the Wellington Animal Rights March on Saturday. Let's unwind, have fun, and continue building a strong community of animal rights advocates.

We'll have a potluck where everyone can bring their favourite vegan dishes to share. We will also provide some food and drinks for all to share, depending on koha available.

After we have eaten, we'll gather briefly to go over some of the plans for the march on Saturday, then practice chants, waiata, and make signs/placards. Signs & placards can be taken home with you or left at the venue overnight to be collected at Te Ngākau - Civic Square the next morning before the march kicks off.

This will be a family friendly & alcohol free event. Please do not bring alcohol with you as we will not have an alcohol license approved for this event.

N ote: WVA is a volunteer run, registered charity (#CC58671) in Aotearoa New Zealand. The organisers at WVA do not take any income from money donated to WVA. All donations made to WVA can be claimed via your annual tax return.
